Piero Radicchi was born in Gubbio on September 27th (precisely in via Gabrielli, section of S. Martino, near the
church of Santa Croce.
He attended the primary school in Gubbio, but, in order to go on with his studies, he was forced to move to Andora (Liguria, north-west of Italy), not far from the French border, where he studied and lived in a boarding school managed by a religious order (Canonici Regolari Lateranensi).

He closed his career as a teacher at the Edificio Scolastico in via Perugina (Gubbio), where he could teach also
"Ceramics",
an art that gave him the possibility to accomplish personal esteemed forms.
The passion and the love for Gubbio were sources of inspiration of his poetry. A poetry in dialect, that renders very well the authenticity, the freshness and the originality of the dialect of Gubbio, the language of our fathers that new generations are unfortunately losing!.
